William Kalfoss came to freeski from the jumping hill, and he has been chasing the creative side of it ever since.
From ski jumping to the park
William switched from ski jumping to freeski at 16, for what he describes as the freedom, the creativity, the playfulness and the community. He grew up in Oslo and now lives in a village outside Trysil, with Norway's biggest resort on his doorstep.
Big air, park, and bigger mountains
Known for his big air and park skiing, William has been pushing further into the backcountry — including a trip to Jackson Hole in Wyoming, well outside his usual park territory.
